Short answer
Glean is an enterprise AI platform that connects to a company's apps and data and answers from them. AskMyStartup is for a small team where the answers sit in the founder's head and only approved ones should go out.
Everything below about Glean comes from its own site, checked on October 20, 2026. For current terms and plans, read its pricing page. Products change.
Glean in brief
- What it is
- Glean describes itself as the enterprise AI platform connected to your enterprise's data: search, an AI assistant and agents built on company context.
- Who it is for
- Its site says enterprise and lists financial services, healthcare, retail, technology, industrials and consulting. It names customers with thousands of employees.
- Cites its sources
- Yes. Its site shows cited outputs, such as a brief with company data, key stats and sources.
- When it is not sure
- Its site does not say what happens when it cannot find an answer.
- Setup
- Its marketing pages do not list setup steps. Its only call to action for buyers is to request a demo.
Where Glean is strongest
- More than 275 connectors to work apps and data sources, according to its home page.
- Search across everything a company stores, with permissions carried over from the source.
- A long list of compliance marks on its site, including SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001 and HIPAA.
What a small team should weigh
Glean searches what already exists. If the real answers have never been written down, there is little for it to find, and a small team may not need that scale.
When to stay with Glean
Stay with Glean if your company has years of material in many apps, many employees, and a security team that needs enterprise controls.
What AskMyStartup does differently
The founder approves each answer once, with an owner and the date it was confirmed. The team asks on a web page that works on any phone. If there is no approved answer, the clone says it does not know and sends the question to the founder.
It is not for you if you need answers inside Slack, Teams or WhatsApp, or if your answers already sit in documents you want a bot to search.

Common questions
Its site, checked on October 20, 2026, shows no prices and asks you to request a demo.
Its own site positions it for enterprises. A small team can still evaluate it, but its pages do not describe a small team plan.
When the knowledge is in one person's head and you want a team to get only answers that person approved, each with an owner and a date.
